Understanding The importance Of Responsive Website Designing

Should one size fit all? Ideally, it depends upon the situation.  If it is about shoes and clothes, it shouldn’t. But if it’s about newspapers, books, and information-sharing, one size may have to fit all. And if it about digital information sharing across gadgets, one size BETTER NEVER, EVER FIT ALL! Because if you do, there is every chance that your client slowly migrates to some other side.

A PC, a smartphone and everything in between have varying screen sizes. The smallest of PC screen would be ten times the size of a smartphone. So how do you guarantee that the UX & UI for both becomes such that the visitors enjoy browsing a website on either equipment/ gadgets? Simple, you use a responsive website!

By definition, a responsive website is one which given its coding, automatically adjusts all its details such that they become equally approachable across gadgets and visitors do not have to struggle when using small-screen sized gadgets.

What you may, makes a website responsive? Making a website responsive are the following three factors:

  • Grid fluidity which means the site adjusts itself according to the gadget’s screen size within set parameters. This is the main difference from earlier times.
  • Fluidity and flexibility in the text images visible on the screen.

  1. More visitors & higher ranking!
  2. A uniform experience for the visitors across devices. They can go from mobiles to PC without losing on the experience, usage, and content.
  3. Better tracking of site’s performance, its reporting and measuring i.e., better analytics
  4. Given that only one site has to be updated, changed and dealt with, it decreases costs, time and efforts

Given these very obvious advantages, it makes so much more sense to have a responsive website always!
